Label Pocket
The label pocket allows the insertion of written information such as patient identification and product specifications for blood components, volume and processing methods used.
Note: Label recommendations have been published by the Standards Committee of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) [1], and by the Foundation for Accreditation of Hematopoietic Cell Therapy (FAHCT) [2].
Integral Tubing Set
The Cryocyte tubing set provides flexibility to use a variety of disposable transfer sets, syringes or Sterile Connecting Device (SCD®).
Membrane Ports
For reinfusion of the thawed product, two membrane ports are available which allow sampling, and if desired, the addition of anticoagulant or washing solution. The membrane ports are compatible with a Sampling Site Coupler (4C2405). The ports also accept a variety of transfer sets with a spike e.g. 4C2240, 4C2243 or 4C2244.
Applicability
Cryocyte freezing containers are suitable for immersion in the liquid phase of a liquid nitrogen storage tank. However, to avoid possible contamination from potentially infectious material stored in the same tank, storage in the vapor phase is recommended.
