Ectopic pregnancy

A pregnancy that develops outside of the uterine cavity. Usually these are formed in the fallopian tube.

A disease in which normal endometrial tissue (the lining of the uterus) grows outside of the uterus.

An artificial menstrual cycle in which drugs, not the ovaries, supply the hormones to prepare the uterus

|
Coiled tubing outside the testicles which store sperm.

Estradiol (E2)
|

The potent form of the female hormone, estrogen, which is produced by granulosa cells of the ovary. The follicle is seen to increase in fluid content and therefore increase in diameter during treatment with gonadotropins.

A female hormone produced mainly by the ovaries from puberty to menopause which is responsible for thickening the uterine lining during the first half of the menstrual cycle in preparation for ovulation and possible pregnancy.
