When choosing to close your straw you have 3 options. The first, and most commonly used, are sealing rods. These simply push into the end of the straw tightly and are available in 18 different colours and suitable for 0.25ml and 0.5ml straws. Alternatively sealing balls can be used. These are forced into the end of the straw to form a seal in 0.5ml straws. Lastly, and least  commonly used, is sealing powder. Powder is poured into the end of the straw and reacts with medium and hardens. Sealing powder is available in 7 colours. Sealing powder can be used with any size of straw.
