SYMS - Manual sealing unit

CBS™ SYMS is a single unit for autogenic sealing of all types of CBS™straws. (Part Number FCBS007213)

It is the ideal equipment for small-size storage projects, highly contagious samples, gametes and embryos cryopreservation.

By one single push on the button or foot pedal, the user starts the electronically controlled pulse sealing cycle, and the straw gets instantaneously leak-proof sealed, with zero risk of contamination.

An identification jacket or rod can be slid on or inside the straw before sealing its plug-side extremity, thereby providing temper-proof identification of the sample.

Filling and sealing protocols for SYMS are designed to work under sterile conditions and can be performed under laminar flow.

SYMS can be used in combination with the CBS™ storage management software.

SYMS is compatible with 0.5 ml and 1 ml CBS™ straws in all configurations of identification. Straws are filled by depression, either with a micro-pump or manually with a syringe connected to the straw with a disposable adapter. The sample side of the straw as a disposable aspiration tip. All consumable can be provided sterile.
